A few days ago, it was reported that Citizens Property Insurance Corp. had changed its policy on covering homes with Chinese Drywall and sent out non-renewal notices to homeowners with Chinese Drywall. Fortunately, Citizens admitted yesterday that it had made a mistake in sending out these non-renewal notices to homeowners and for now, their position on insuring these homes has not changed. Previously, Citizens stated that homes found with Chinese are not automatically dropped and coverage on each home is determined on a case by case basis.
