Project Photo Gallery – Custom Built 6000 sq ft Equestrian Barn

Custom-built 2-story barn with 6100 sq ft under roof, including front, rear and upstairs porches. Barn was built with heavy post & beam timber frame construction with custom exposed steel plates. The lower level includes 4 horse stalls, 2 wash stalls, and an air conditioned tack room and feed room. The upstairs loft is almost 2600 sq ft of air conditioned space, perfect for entertaining and includes both a bath and kitchenette.

The open rafters are European White Pine timber with exposed spiral ducting. A custom fabricated metal spiral staircase leads up to loft from the porch below.

All windows and doors are high-efficiency low-E impacted rated. Hardie cement siding was installed over a rain screen drainage plane to ensure optimal performance. Icynene insulation was installed on the floor joists of the 2nd floor to ensure a complete air barrier between the barn areas below and the conditioned space above.
